MOUNTAIN MAN
"I defy the annals of chivalry to furnish
the record of a life more wild and perilous than that of a Rocky Mountain
trapper," wrote Francis Parkman, historian of the
American West. The life of a mountain man was ruled by the seasons and by the
game he sought. Not only was he a trapper and woodsman without equal, he was
also a trader, blacksmith, horsewrangler, teamster, doctor, gunsmith, tailor,
explorer, packer and guide, as hard as the elements he lived in. Those of us
today who prize individualism, courage and ingenuity have much to learn from the
Mountain Man. This piece is approximately 10 inches tall Wool Sculptures are custom made to
order, please call Raven to talk about placing an order. |
